330 g soft butter -3/4 cup sugar (150 g) 2 cups flour (280 g)
Cream butter and sugar until smooth.
Add flour and mix well.
Butter cookie sheet.
Spread dough evenly across cookie sheet (should be about 1/2 cm thick).
Sprinkle with cold water.
Bake at 180-200 C for 8 minutes.
Cut while warm with different shaped cookie cutters.
Sprinkle with colored sugar before baking if desired.
(Makes 2 dozen cookies 7 cm wide)
